Warm, Safe Spaces and
Drop-In Support
When the weather turns cold, staying warm shouldn’t be a luxury. At Chard Community Hub, we provide warm, safe, and welcoming spaces for anyone in our community who needs them. These spaces are more than just a place to escape the chill, they’re a lifeline for those experiencing fuel poverty, isolation, or distress.
Why Warm Spaces Matter
Cold homes can have a serious impact on health and wellbeing, especially for older people and vulnerable adults. Loneliness and mental ill-health often go hand in hand with isolation, making winter a difficult time for many. Our warm spaces help reduce these challenges by offering:
Comfort and warmth in a friendly environment.
Opportunities to socialise, meet new people and feel part of the community.
Access to informal support and signposting, so individuals can get help early and connect with the right services.
Early Intervention Through Support
Our team is here to listen and guide. Whether it’s advice on energy bills, mental health support, or connecting you to local services, we make sure help is available when you need it most. These small conversations can make a big difference, preventing problems before they escalate.
